Places To Visit in Andaman For Honeymoon

I hope this article is found by Honeymooners who are planning to visit the Andaman Islands and are busy preparing the itinerary of their honeymoon in the Andaman Islands.

Places to visit in Andaman for honeymoon will be on my list now! I can’t wait to start planning my trip there. I am so excited to explore the beautiful sights and experience the romance of this stunning destination. I am sure it will be an unforgettable experience.

There are a lot of locations to see while considering the Andaman Islands in their totality. Cutting the extraneous material that honeymooners might not enjoy is now the challenge.

Now, in this article of mine I will cover most romantic and top honeymoon places in Andaman Islands for couple visiting Andaman Islands for honeymoon. I  will do justice to guide the honeymooners to shortlist places to visit in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Having first-hand experience of the Andaman Islands makes a lot of difference while writing an article about any topic and especially when it comes to shortlisting places to visit for a Honeymoon.

We at Experience Andamans are experts in the Islands and helped thousands of honeymooners to live their dream vacation.

When I speak to honeymooners on a visit to the Andaman Islands, they want to rush straight to Havelock Island and don’t what to experience any other locations such as Port Blair, Neil, Baratang and Diglipur.

It is possible that the primary reason for this is that other locations within the Andaman archipelago are entirely ignored in lieu of writing and marketing about Havelock Island.

It would be to your advantage to have a thorough understanding of each of the locations before approving the trip schedule.

The Andaman Islands are among the most popular places for newlyweds to spend their honeymoon. First and foremost, it is to your advantage to be aware of the interests of both spouses in order to make the most of your time spent in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

In addition, take left side seating while you are on your flight during your onward journey to Port Blair. This way you get a chance to experience the bird eye view of the islands just before you land at the Veer Savarkar Airport at Port Blair and I bet that the view you see, will just set the base for the journey in Andamans during your honeymoon.

In Port Blair, I will recommend you visit Chidiatapu to Enjoy the mesmerizing sunset. This is a very good place to start your experience after you arrive at the capital city Port Blair, on the first day of your trip.

For those honeymoon couples who are more inclined towards experiencing something historic, then Cellular Jail should be on your itinerary. Specifically, the Light and Sound show at Cellular Jail. Cellular Jail is among the most visited destination in Andaman. When in Port Blair, you can take a guide with you during your Cellular Jail Visit.

For the Cellular Jail visit, get your tickets booked in advance, usually, there is a big queue to get the tickets.

Now, in Port Blair other places that honeymooners can visit is North Bay and Ross Island. The reason to add Ross and North Bay Island is that many of the activities that are not present in any of the other islands in Andaman are conducted on these islands. You can take a ferry to ross and north bay Island from Andaman water sports complex. The ferry sails everyday to these islands.

North Bay Island Seen at the Back of a 20 Rupee Note

To go to Ross and North Bay Island, there are a few different kinds of boats that sail there; you should select the one that best meets your level of comfort throughout the voyage.

When you visit North Bay Island you get a chance to experience some of the most amazing water activities in the islands. Mentioned below are activities available during your visit to North Bay Island.

Semi Submarine Coral Safari

Andaman Dolphin Glass Bottom Boat Ride

Scuba Diving

and Sea Walking

Now, both Semi-Submarine and Andaman Dolphin Glass boat rides are not available in any of the other islands. These two activities are very unique and kind of a must-do activity in Andaman.

So for an initial couple of days, a honeymoon couple can visit,

Day 1 – Chidiatapu along with Cellular Jail Light and Sound Show
Day 2 – Ross and North Bay Island along with any of the water activities as mentioned above.

Now, in Port Blair you can also visit Baratang Island and Jolly Bouy Island,  these two places are a gem of an attraction that should not be missed. However, considering the number of days you are planning a visit to Andaman on your honeymoon, I will let go these attractions for now. Do write to me in case you wish to add Jolly Bouy and Baratang.

At this point in my article, I will end the places to visit in Port Blair for honeymooners before moving to Havelock and Neil Island. There is one final thing that you must experience in the evening is the dinner cruise in Andaman.  You can cruise around the Port Blair while enjoying your dinner.

Well, now let’s move to Havelock and Neil Island. Here I would like to share some insight for a honeymoon couple. I will recommend not to keep your honeymoon for a very short duration. See if you can extend to at least 6 Days. There is a reason why I am insisting on a 6 days Andaman honeymoon package is because you get a chance to experience all the major islands, Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Island.

However, in case you are visiting Andaman for 5 Days only then my recommendation is to drop your plan for Neil Island because the trip will become too hectic.

So the fundamental remains clear that for a short trip to Andaman, skip Neil Island and any time you are extending your trip to over 5 days, Neil Island can be included.

Neil Island is one of the most beautiful places in the Andaman, and honeymooners will surely enjoy there time here. A night stay at Neil Island island is enough, however, for those looking for more leisure time can stay for 2 Nights in Neil Island. Here is an Andaman package with Neil Island

Romantic Accommodations: Luxury Resorts & Beachfront Stays

The right choice of accommodations is essential if one wants to turn the usual honeymoon into a truly romantic vacation experience. One such destination which has a good selection of high-end beachfront resorts offering total privacy, luxury, and world-class hospitality is the Andaman Islands.

  • Symphony Palms Beach Resort (Havelock Island): This resort is surrounded by tall coconut palms and provides guests with immediate access to a secluded beach. It consists of nicely built wooden huts. The oceanfront villas are especially recommended to those couples that would like to be awakened by the sound of crashing waves.
  • Taj Exotica Resort & Spa (Radhanagar Beach): This eco-luxury resort covers 46 acres of lush tropical greenery. It consists of private stilt villas located at a short distance from the renowned Radhanagar Beach. This resort has an Olympic-size infinity pool, top dining venues and romantic couple’s spa treatments using ancient Indian healing techniques.
  • SeaShell Resort (Neil Island): Couples visiting Neil Island can enjoy the blend of rural simplicity and luxurious elegance that the SeaShell Resort offers. It offers a lagoon-style swimming pool, rooftop seating with a breathtaking view of the ocean, and beach dinners.
  • Munjoh Ocean Resort (Havelock Island): Located off the beaten track of the main island road, Munjoh Resort offers its guests exclusive ocean suites and luxurious villas with private sitting areas. It is known to offer customized services for newlyweds.

Curated Honeymoon Experiences & Romance Upgrades

Beachside Private Dinner With Candles

There is nothing romantic than having a dinner arrangement made on a private secluded beach, lit by soft light from torches and the starry sky. Most of the luxury resorts in Havelock and Neil Island are able to provide personalized dining arrangements for your four course meals and a butler will be provided.

Night Kayaking And Bioluminescence Tour

Night kayaking around Havelock Island is another adventure for couples looking to add some magic into their relationship. Paddling along the mangrove creeks in the night, couples will get the chance to experience the bioluminescence phenomenon in a guided night tour. When paddles are put in motion, the tiny planktons in the creeks produce light, leaving a trail of blue glow similar to starry night.

Couple’s Marine Walk

Couples looking for a way of exploring the undersea without being experienced divers will find the Sea Walking tour at either Elephant Beach or North Bay Island as the best adventure ever. By wearing special helmets which make breathing easy, couples will take a walk in the ocean bed amid coral reefs and sea anemones and clowns fishes.

Packing Essentials for an Island Honeymoon

To make sure your romantic trip goes smoothly without any unexpected runs to the local market, keep these essential items in your travel bags:

  • Smart Beachwear: Pack light linen shirts, flowy sundresses, swimwear, and wide-brimmed sun hats for your beach dates.
  • Footwear Choices: Sturdy walking shoes for forest treks, water shoes for rocky coral walks, and comfortable flip-flops for the sandy beaches.
  • Sun & Skin Care: High-quality waterproof sunscreen, soothing aloe vera gel for sunburns, and an effective mosquito repellent for evening beach dinners.
  • Tech Gadgets: A waterproof dry-bag, an underwater action camera (like a GoPro) for snorkeling trips, and a high-capacity power bank to keep your phones charged during long outdoor days.

What’s Next?

Now, I suppose you would be wondering if there is anything left after so many honeymoon spots have been discussed. This is really only the beginning. The range of services Andaman offers will astound you if you take the time to read our things to do page.

To see everything in Andaman, one will require at least fifteen days. Nevertheless, I’ll save this subject for a subsequent piece and focus just on the adorable honeymoon couples for now.

Let’s begin Havelock island now, the most preferred destination where everyone wants to visit and rightly so.

Whenever I meet people many say that “Andaman mein to Havelock mein hi Sab Kuch Hai” (“Andamans is all about Havelock”). Well, as described above I feel this statement is wrong and shows the limitation in the knowledge of the traveller who is visiting Andaman.  Apparently, things that can be done in Port Blair are much greater than Havelock and Neil Island combined.

However, there is a reason why Havelock leads in terms of the best island in the Andaman. The turquoise-colored water, the beautiful white beaches grow on you building a pristine atmosphere. The different shades of blue hold true when you see the Havelock Island. For those who have never had a first-hand experience of such amazing beaches and waters will surely be spellbound to experience something like this at the Havelock Island.

Rightly so for our honeymoon couple on a visit to Andaman. For them, Havelock is a heaven and as I said earlier, “Havelock should never be missed”.

So what can you do when on a visit to a place such as Havelock Island on a Honeymoon?

To start with, I will say just ‘feel it’. The air, the crowd, and the whole atmosphere will feel different here. The three major attractions here are

  1. Radhanagar Beach
  2. Elephant Beach
  3. Kalapathar Beach

These places can be covered in 2 days easily.

In addition, to this, I recommend honeymooners to indulge in Scuba Diving and Sea Walking. Make sure you get an experience of both of these activities.

You also have Kayaking that can be done in Havelock Island.

In both, Havelock and Neil Island you can cover all the places in a couple of days. The rest of the days in these islands can be at leisure. In Havelock Island, you can opt for a Candle Lit Dinner by the beach side as well. Dining by the beach is an altogether different experience. Our Honeymoon Packages to Andaman contains only the places that are loved by honeymoon couples including candle lit dinner, decorated bed and cruise rides to reach various islands such as Port Blair, Havelock and Neil

For Havelock Island you can include the following places in this order

Day 1 – Port Blair to Havelock Island Or Neil To Havelock Island along with Radhanagar Beach
Day 2 – Elephant Beach Snorkeling or Trekking Trip along with Sea Walking
Day 3 – Scuba Diving at Havelock Island and Return to Port Blair or Night stay at Havelock Island itself
Day 4 – Day at Leisure and Return to Port Blair

Though the above-mentioned places may vary based upon the interest of the couples.

To give one specific order to the places to visit in Andaman Island by a Honeymoon Couple is difficult as for the most part it depends upon the interest of the couples. Having said that, Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Islands should not be missed. I have still not covered North Andaman, Middle Andaman and a few offbeat places as it solely depends upon the interest.

What I have mentioned in this article should be experienced and I bet you will love your time in the Andamans. Share you thoughts and let me know if you want me to cover any other places in Andaman for a couple.
