Bharatpur Beach is the most prominent beach in Shaheed Dweep and also the most visited one too. It is situated about half a kilometer from the island and is ideal for leisurely spending your evenings, swimming, or coral viewing. Bharatpur beach is the only hub for water sport activities in Shaheed Dweep.
Bharatpur Beach at Neil Island offers you water activities such as Jet Ski, Banana and Speed Boat Rides, Glass-Bottom Boat Rides, Snorkeling and Scuba Diving. You can indulge yourself in whichever activity excites you and have a fun-filled day at Bharatpur Beach.
This beach is considered to be the sunrise point at Neil Island. However, most people visit here for water activities only.
There are eateries and food shacks that are set up on the beach from where you can pick up some snacks also try the refreshing tender coconut water. There are proper changing rooms and washroom facilities at the beach that are maintained neatly.
You can shop at the stores that are set up at the beach and take walks along the coastline. It is best to visit this beach during the day around 8 AM if you want to indulge in the water sport.
To reach this beach, firstly you need to reach Neil Island via ferry. The most regular ferry operates from Havelock to Neil Island. Once you reach Neil Island, you can even walk straight to Bharatpur beach as it is within walking distance from the Jetty.
This beach is accessible via road once you reach Neil Island.
From your hotel, you can hire a Cab, Auto, cycle or a two-wheeler to reach this beach.
The economical option is to hire a bicycle and explore this island.
1) Make sure you visit this beach during the early hours to avoid the rush.
2) There are no entry charges to visit this beach.
3) Changing rooms and washrooms are available at the beach.
4) Small eateries run by locals operate at this beach.
5) This beach closes at sunset and you are not allowed to enter the water post sunset.
7) This place is recommended for all age groups.
Bharatpur Beach is located very close to Neil Island jetty
Bharatpur beach is the hub for all water activities at Neil Island. For all water sports activities at Neil Island, you will first have to reach Bharatpur beach and then indulge in any kind of activity that suits you. Now, there are various options of activities available here. The most famous one is the Scuba Diving at Neil Island which is done at Bharatpur beach. During the diving experience, the members of the dive centre will bring you to Bharatpur beach and your initial training will start from there after you have geared up. A boat then takes you to do the diving with a guide.
The next most famous activity here is the glass bottom boat ride, followed by snorkeling. Jet ski rides are also available at this beach which can be availed on the spot
Dancing Dugong is an offbeat experiential Diving resort stationed at Bharatpur beach.
Coco-N-huts Beach Resort is a basic 3 star property located close to this beach.
NK Eco resort under the NK Group is a decent property to select.
Coral Garden and CS Empire are also located close to this beach.
Please note that all the above properties does not have a private beach, however, these properties can be considered if you prefer to stay close to Bharatpur beach.

Bharatpur Beach can be visited by everyone. It is both kids and senior citizen-friendly.
