Red Skin Island is one of the islands in the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. This is the second most visited island and is open for visitors when the Jolly Buoy Island is closed for the preservation of corals. The tourists can visit Red Skin from March to October. This island is a “No Plastic Zone” it is advisable for you to not carry any plastic items while visiting this place. If you have any items you will have to surrender it to the officials at the Wandoor Jetty before boarding the boat. Your items will be returned to you after your trip.
Carry some refreshments and take a trip to this serene and secluded island for an amazing experience. Basic changing rooms are available, however, nothing more robust. Make sure you go to the washroom at Wandoor jetty itself as there are NO washrooms in Red skin Island. Just like Jolly Buoy, you cannot stay overnight on this island.
Glass Bottom Rides: You can get onto a basic glass-bottom boat to have a look at the corals and the beauty underwater. The experience here is not as great as Jolly Buoy but the beauty of the life below the surface of the water is incredible.
