Another option is to take a train to Chennai Central and then utilize a ship operated by the government to reach Andaman. This trip would require approximately 3 days and 19 hours. With costs ranging from 4000 to 15000 rupees. 

There are also other alternative options available. One of these options is to take a train to Vadodara Junction and then catch a direct flight to Port Blair.
