Lets visit one of the most popular, yet least visited places in Andaman. Visit Ross and Smith Island from Port Blair during this 3 days sightseeing tour plan. Welcome to the remotest corner of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Diglipur Island. Diglipur Island is located in the North Andaman Islands at a distance of about 320 Kilometers from Port Blair. In this trip we cover the entire length of the Andamans from South Andaman to North Andaman in a personal vehicle from Port Blair.
This is a three-day trip from Port Blair to Diglipur, and return back to Port Blair.
On the first day, we begin our journey from Port Blair and cover a distance of about 320 Kms before we do our overnight at Diglipur Island. On this day we will cover Baratang Island limestone caves as well.
The next day, we start from your hotel to Ross and Smith Island. We enjoy the boat ride, the Ross and Smith islands, and return to the hotel at Diglipur for overnight stay.
On day 3, we will travel back to Portblair and will cover Dhaninala mangrove walkway and Ambkunj beach at Rangat.
Our chauffeur is always there with you during the trip to Diglipur Island.
All entry tickets, boat ride, driver charges, and vehicle charges are covered for 3 Days (From Port Blair to Diglipur and return after visiting Ross and Smith Island).
NOTE: Please note that the hotel stay is not included in this trip. You can reach the Experience Andamans team for any suggestions concerning this trip. The trip is subject to weather conditions. The first day you reach Diglipur from Port Blair, Next day we visit Ross and Smith Island and on the third day we return to Port Blair. We will take a pit stop around some beaches during this tour.
Day 1 : Travel from Portblair to Diglipur via Baratang Island
To reach Diglipur Island, Our chauffeur will pick you from your hotel around 3:30 am.
It takes around 10-11 hours to reach Diglipur, during the drive, we will take a pit stop in Baratang Island.
Baratang Island is a part of middle Andamans, here you can visit the famous limestone cave and Mud volcano.
Baratang Island remains closed on Monday.
Day 2 : Ross and Smith Island visit at Diglipur
The next day, we refresh and resume our trip to reach Aerial Bay from where you will board a boat to visit the Ross and Smith Island. The most exciting part about this destination is that it is unique and no island in the Andaman archipelago offers an experience like this one. Ross and Smith Island are two different islands joined by a sand bar.
Once you board the boat you are also briefed about your boat ride and provided with life jackets as well, The boat journey is for around 20 minutes to reach Ross and Smith Island.
Once you reach Ross and Smith island you can rest, relax, swim and snorkel here. (There is NO guided snorkelling here on this island like how it is done, Havelock or Port Blair)
Ross and Smith island remain closed on Tuesday.
Day 3 : Return back to Portblair via same route
Next-day Morning, we again start our journey towards Potrtblair from Diglipur.
During your trip and you can take a pit stop at Aerial bay beach and Dhaninala mangroves as well.
Dhanni Nalah Mangrove Walkway is a 720 metres walkway which was created by clearing creeks and Mangrove trees. The walkway here is much better than that experienced during the walk-in at Baratang Island.
Walk your way through the mangrove forest and experience the unique beauty of Rangat. Post completion of this trip we move to Ambkunj beach. You can spend around 30 minutes to 1 hour here before returning.
Our chauffeur will drop you back at your Port Blair hotel by evening.
